Ghady911 Posted Saturday at 02:15 PM #1 Posted Saturday at 02:15 PM In poker, your opponents don’t just react to your cards—they react to how they perceive you. If you’ve been playing tight for a while, a bluff is more likely to get through. On the other hand, if you’ve been caught bluffing several times, even a strong hand might not get as much respect. Do you actively think about your table image when making decisions, or do you focus only on the strength of your hand? Have you ever changed your playing style just to influence how your opponents see you?
dinai674 Posted Saturday at 05:38 PM #2 Posted Saturday at 05:38 PM honestly i think table image is a bit overrated these days, especially online where most players aren't paying enough attention to adjust properly. i stick to my ranges unless someone's clearly reacting, then i might expoit it a lil.
lilyenne Posted yesterday at 08:16 AM #3 Posted yesterday at 08:16 AM Yeah table image is huge in live games for sure, way more than cards sometimes. I used to show a random bluff early just to loosen up my image later when I actually had it. Do you think online players even notice that stuff or is it mostly a live game thing?
ace6lcw4 Posted 6 hours ago #4 Posted 6 hours ago I love how you framed it as "your opponents don't just react to your cards", cause that's something a lot of people overlook til they sit at a table where everyone's watching every move you make. I tend to shift gears only if I ntice the other players are actually observant, otherwise I'll just ride whatever cards come my way.
francisco948 Posted 5 hours ago #5 Posted 5 hours ago i def think about it, especially if im on a crazy heater and know theyre waiting for me to slow down. do you ever switch gears the other way and play tighter on purpose to make your next squeeze play work better?
HellVortex Posted 4 hours ago #6 Posted 4 hours ago I find the opposite is true at micro stakes, where most players just look at their own two cards no matter what you do.
neo69io3ld3 Posted 3 hours ago #7 Posted 3 hours ago Last week I folded aces preflop in a live tournament just becaause I knew my tight image would let me steal way more chips later.
luxoul3u Posted 3 hours ago #8 Posted 3 hours ago mostly i think its relevant only when somebody at the table is actually paying attention and adjusting, otherwise it just feels like im playing mind games with myself. its more of a tiebreaker thing for me rahter than something i build my whole session around
