I nevr even heard of padel until a few years ago and now it seems like every other person in Spain is playing it. The speed it went from niche to mainstream in that region is pretty wild honestly.

Esports kind of did the same thing, turning what was a niche hobby into a full on global industry with serious infrastructure. The production value and salaries today would look alien to someone in 2015.
