missed a huge multiplier by missing 1 bet!!!!

Have you ever had the same like what happened to me multiple times. You compose an accumulator bet with lets say 8-9 different bets. After the games you check your ticket and notice you only 1 bet wrong which resulted in loosing your money and missing that juicy payout.

I remember once that I placed a betslip with 8 soccer games and I placed the same bet on every game namely less than 1.5 goals in the entire game. I mostly picked Italian and French games cause those competitions have one of the lowest total goals per game in Europe. So I placed the bet with 8 games and the total multiplier was 134x. I put a lousy 5$ on this bet and after checking the ticket I noticed I only got 1 game wrong that ended on 2-0. So result was I lost my money and I missed a nice payout.

This happened to me multiple times and started looking to some options to still win some money even if 1 or more games of my ticket are wrong. Recently I started using Goliat and super Goliat betting structure. And until now I havent regretted once that I started using this structure.

Goliat and super Goliat are 8 (Goliat) and 9 (super Goliat) games in 1 ticket. So you pick 8 or 9 games and you already win some money back when you have 2 games correct. Of course the payout is not that high but at least you still get some money back even if you had a couple games wrong.

 

So for those who don't know Goliat structure.

With Goliat structure you pick 8 games as you wish on whatever sport you want or a mix of multiple sports. This can be money line bets or side bets like for example total goals, total corners,....

After that the following happens

Your 8 bets will be split in 247 different bets!!!!!

• 28 double bets
• 56 treble bets
• 70 fourfold bets
• 56 fivefold bets
• 28 sixfold bets
• 8 sevenfold bets
• 1 eightfold bet

Depending on how many games of your 8 selected games are correct you will get paid your winnings. The lowest possible win is that you only have 2 correct bets of 8 bets placed and this will result in only 1 double bet win. But if you are lucky to have all 8 bets correct than you will get entry paid and receive winnings on 247 different bets.

By using the goliat betting structure you actually place every single possibility from double to eightfold possible on the games that are played. So you have 247 different bets in just a single betting ticket. I love this betting structure cause it gives you the opportunity to compose an accumulator with odds that are slightly higher than you probably bet if you place a regular accumulator.

 

But of course nothing comes for free. This bets are more expensive than if you place a regular accumulator. Cause with a regular accumulator you only have 1 single bet and that is the 8fold bet where you need to have all 8 bets correct in order to win something.

For goliat betting you need to pay for all 247 bets. So lets say you use 0.1$ as base bet for the goliat you will need to pay 24.7$. 

Break down of possible winnings.

lets say you place an 8 fold accumulator and lets say to calculate easy all 8th games have an odd of 2x then you have a total odd off 256x. Lets say you place 10$ on that bet you can win 2560$. Its a very nice amount to win but in most cases you can consider this 10$ are lost.

Lets say you put the same 8 in a Goliath Bet and you take 0.05 as your basebet than you need to pay 12.35$ which is practically the same as the bet above. Your total maximum winnings are 327$ which in my opinion is also a nice return on 10$. The only difference is if you have 1 or more games wrong you will still win back some money to reduce your losses but if you already have 4-5-6 correct you already make profits.

 

did someone of you already have experience with this way of betting? Or would someone be interested to do so?

It has happened to my friend who does sports betting quite often. You need to predict every single game (out of 8 ) correctly in order to win. He often gets 7 out of the 8. It is super frustrating, but happens more often than not.

@williamshennie9 yeah know the feeling. Had that multiple times myself. thats why I find the goliath betting structure so interesting. I tried it a couple of times so far on a 8 game accumulator. fun thing about this way of betting is that you get the opportunity to get all 8 games correct but even if you miss 1 or 2 or more games you still get money back. So it actually is a good way of reduce your losses. cause if you bet in the regular way and have 1 loss game in your betting ticket you loose the entire amount you bet. With the goliath you still get money back.

And its also a way to play some higher odds like you used to bet on. By betting higher odds in a goliath will increase your recovery if you have a couple of games wrong.

Damn. Never knew about such a system. This sounds great. I might give it a whirl asap. Will have to do some more research on this though. I might use it to bet on draws in Soccer where the odds are higher than 2.0.

indeed I use this goliath betting structure as well on outcomes with a slightly higher odd. I also do this to bet on draw outcomes, half time bets, goalscorer and many more. until now I didn't hit an entire correct goliath bet but by using the goliath I still was able to make profits even with 1 or 2 wrong bets.

Unfortunatelly not all betting platforms offer the goliath structure. If I want to bet a goliath or super goliath I mostly do this on the sports book feature of pokerstars
