If they want their legacy to hit casual fans hardest, they should focus on leading a team nobody expects to win, not just stacking stats. That underdog narrative sticks way longer than another MVP on a stacked squad.

Giannis is probably the safer bet because he already has that ring and the defensive rep to go with it. Jokic might end up more revered by basketball purists though, even if he never wins another title, just because his style is so distinct and hard to argue against.

Steph Curry. He completely changed the way basketball is played. The amount of kids pulling up from deep now because of him says it all. I don’t think we’ll see another player influence the game the way he has anytime soon.

I’d go with LeBron. The guy has been doing it for over two decades and is still competing at the highest level. Longevity like that is crazy, and I don’t think people will fully appreciate it until he retires.
