Chasing the payout without a limit will drain you faster than just treating it like paid entertainment where you expect to lose the buy in. The foks who treat it like a job end up burned out way quicker than the ones who see it as a fun night out with a tiny chance of a bonus.

That kind of attachment always carries a quiet cost, and the house is built to collect it sooner or later. Knowing the right move won't matter much if you're still sitting at the table hoping for a different outcome.

I'd rather treat it as paying for the thrill upfront and be surprised if something comes back, the other mindset of banking on a payout always turns sour for me

I see it a little differently actually. Saying you hope it pays imlies you're already counting on the money before it hits your account, and that's when the games start playing you instead of the other way around.

Chasing payouts had me stuck for ages till I started lgoging every session, once I saw that one random Tuesday I blew my entire monthly entertainment budget in 14 minutes I finally set a hard cap and treat any leftover balance as next month’s fun fund instead of winnings

The smartest thing I did was move my whole deposit into a separate ewallet that I don't keep logged in on my phone, so depositing requires a few extra steps instead of just tapping a button. That tiny bit of friction gives my brain a second to actually ask if I want to do this right now or if I'm just bored.
