shivaas Posted July 11 #1 Posted July 11 The Psychology of Winning and Losing Winning feels great and losing can be frustrating. How do you think emotions affect decision-making while gambling?
Strikeyn Posted July 12 #2 Posted July 12 I find the euphoria after a big win leads to worse decisions for me personally compared to chasing losses, because overconfidence makes me forget basic strategy completely.
kai4m7u7f Posted July 13 #4 Posted July 13 emotions are like extra fog on a foggy road, you're already making decisions with incomplete info and then feeling good or bad just narrows what you notice even more
Lukszy1999 Posted July 13 #8 Posted July 13 Just never let emotions override your decision, making you chase lose
DarkPhoenix Posted July 14 #13 Posted July 14 i learned the hard way that stepping away right after a big win is just as important as stopping after a loss coz the overconfidence is what really drains my balance
hal2zprnv Posted July 14 #14 Posted July 14 For me the real danger is overconfidence after a win, I rather deal with a sad loss where I just close the tab, than that buzz that makes me bet stupidly big on the next hand
ivos84cd Posted July 14 #17 Posted July 14 last month I was up like 300 bucks on blackjack and got this weird tunnel vision, kept pressing double on 12s like a genius.. wallet didnt survive the next half hour
rio1bv4kg Posted July 14 #18 Posted July 14 i remember one time i hit a max win on a slot and immedietly thought i was invincible so i bet it all on a silly roulette number and poof it was gone. that rush makes you so dumb honestly. now i just force myself to log off for a bit after anything big.
ryo719uu Posted July 15 #19 Posted July 15 Wins fake a rush, losses just go silent... ill take the silence
