If you have a popular Youtube chanel or thousands of friends in the social. networks, it will certainly be easier, but if this is not the case, then you will have to sweat and spend a lot of time on promotion. Or just pay and let the experts do it.

I have been doing affiliate marketing for about 2 years now and it's very difficult to build up a following and become successful. Unfortunately I you can't just slap a link on social media and expect to get referrals because 99% of people that come across that link won't click it. You had the right idea about joining related forums but that takes a lot of time because first you need to make a presence for yourself, build trust and then you can start recommending your affiliate sites. One good strategy I learned is joining Facebook groups. Join as many as you can handle, make yourself known so users of the group come to know you, then you can refer them to your website. Takes a lot of time and effort. There isn't any easy way around it.
