My first live tournament I foldde pocket queens preflop because some old guy spilled his coffee and I took it as a sign, turned out he had kings so I actually dodged a bullet. Just pay attention to the weird little moments like that and you will be fine.

My first tournament I lasted about 12 minutes then got knocked out by a lady who kept check raising me with top pair every single hand. So yeah just dont do that and youll be fine lol

Just don't leave your drink next to the cards that's the real nightmare for a first timer.

My first time I was so focused on my own hand I completely missed that the guy across from me had been folding for like 20 minutes straight and suddenly woke up with a massive raise, lesson learned is to watch the players way more than the cards.

Good luck out there. The biggest shock for me was how fast the blind levels felt in person, so don't be afraid to make moves a little sooner than you'd think.

dont overthink it too much tomorrow. just fold a lot early and dont try to outplay the guy who clearly has no clue what hes doing because somehow those ones always river you.
