ALEXA KICK Posted Saturday at 09:02 PM #1 Posted Saturday at 09:02 PM Playing my first poker tournament tomorrow wish me luck
pedro70 Posted Sunday at 09:30 AM #2 Posted Sunday at 09:30 AM good luck bro, just dont go all in on a 7-2 offsuit ? ?
dexILOhEJu Posted Monday at 08:31 AM #3 Posted Monday at 08:31 AM My first live tournament I foldde pocket queens preflop because some old guy spilled his coffee and I took it as a sign, turned out he had kings so I actually dodged a bullet. Just pay attention to the weird little moments like that and you will be fine.
vurApulIp Posted Monday at 08:32 AM #4 Posted Monday at 08:32 AM My first tournament I lasted about 12 minutes then got knocked out by a lady who kept check raising me with top pair every single hand. So yeah just dont do that and youll be fine lol
luxl58gd Posted Monday at 08:56 AM #5 Posted Monday at 08:56 AM The whole "poker greatness" title and it being your first tourney is kinda funny, like aiming for greatness right out the gate. Hope you get at least one bad beat story to tell after.
LePuYuGUs9 Posted Monday at 09:05 AM #6 Posted Monday at 09:05 AM Just don't leave your drink next to the cards that's the real nightmare for a first timer.
antoniohill40 Posted Monday at 10:13 AM #7 Posted Monday at 10:13 AM My first time I was so focused on my own hand I completely missed that the guy across from me had been folding for like 20 minutes straight and suddenly woke up with a massive raise, lesson learned is to watch the players way more than the cards.
thomasstone Posted 19 hours ago #8 Posted 19 hours ago Maybe skip the greatness talk and just survive the first level.
zedy5bybn9j Posted 18 hours ago #9 Posted 18 hours ago Good luck out there. The biggest shock for me was how fast the blind levels felt in person, so don't be afraid to make moves a little sooner than you'd think.
enriquenadan Posted 15 hours ago #10 Posted 15 hours ago dont overthink it too much tomorrow. just fold a lot early and dont try to outplay the guy who clearly has no clue what hes doing because somehow those ones always river you.
