Debol Posted July 11 #1 Posted July 11 Had a rough run recently where I played well but kept running into bad beats. The hard part isn't losing, it's staying disciplined after. What do you do to reset mentally mid-session? Walk away or push through?
hesABIs Posted July 12 #2 Posted July 12 no cap yeah tbh i just take a lil break and reset bro, chasing while tilted is teh fastest way to punt it all ? Pretty222 1
ace63zko Posted July 12 #3 Posted July 12 ngl i insta step away for like 10 mins bro, once tilt kicks in ur bankroll is cooked ? fr
eli68qkwn Posted July 13 #4 Posted July 13 I remember one session I was down 4 buyins and instead of quitting I just sat out for a few hands, made a cup of tea and came back with a much clearer head. That small pause saved me from duping the rest of my stack honestly. Pretty222 1
orb2w8u7b Posted July 13 #5 Posted July 13 Last time this happened I literally stood up and did pushups in my room till my arms burned, weirdly it reset my brain and I stopped caring about the last hand.
kimo6pzd Posted July 14 #6 Posted July 14 Honestly I close the table immediately if it's a deepstack PLO session because the pot odds get so tempting you just end up punting with a dominated draw. Two bad beats in a row and I know I'll start 3betting J9 suited from the hijack like a maniac so stepping away for 15 minutes is the only move that saes me. Pretty222 1
zeda6zzp Posted July 14 #7 Posted July 14 Walking away works way better for me, pushing through just bleeds chips.
dexILOhEJu Posted July 15 #10 Posted July 15 I closed the client mid hand once after a set cracked my aces, came back an hour later and realized I wouldve tilted off the rest of my stack.
kaiz1prr Posted July 15 #12 Posted July 15 I once folded a flopped set because I was so tilted I convinced myself he had the straight, turns out he was just bluffing with top pair. Now I force myself to sit out two orbits and splash water on my face before looking at my cards again.
mika36gkag3r Posted July 15 #13 Posted July 15 fold pre more when variance stings, reloaded on rock hands
