Iwan212 Posted July 11 #1 Posted July 11 Golden Boot Markets: Whatβs your strategy? Backing a star on a tournament favorite, or the sole striker on a mid-tier team?
nylarenne Posted July 12 #2 Posted July 12 I always look for the lone striker on a team that is likely to reach the quarter finals but not much further, since they usually face weaker group stage opponents where the goals pile up early. The pure tournament favorites often share the load too much across the front three and you end up with a forward on 3 goals rather than 5.
ivshengyn722 Posted July 12 #3 Posted July 12 I lean toward the mid tier lone striker honestly. The favorite's star often shares the goals too much across a stacked squad while that one guy on a smaller team is basically the only finisher so even if they crash out early he's already pocketed 4 or 5 against leaky defenses.
