I remmeber waking up at 4am to watch their qualifier against Italy back in the day and thinking this was the start of something huge, still feels like that moment meant more than it really did.

Haaland and Odegaard just wasn't enough to carry them through the whole grind, especially when you compare that squad depth to someone like Denmark or even Sweden.

I still think about that friendly against Czech Republic last summer where Haaland scored a hattrick but the defese kept leaking goals, it was a perfect microcosm of their whole campaign honestly.

Yeah that midfield collapse in the second half was their trademark. I always thought Sorloth should have gotten more minutes to take some physical load off Haaland but the coach just never trusted him fully.

Watched their qualifier againt Scotland in a pub full of vikings, place went dead silent at the final whistle.
