SW19 witnessed a weekend of raw emotion, psychological warfare, and historic breakthroughs as the 2026 Wimbledon Championships delivered two unforgettable women's finals.

The Big Dish: Linda Noskova’s Centre Court Redemption

The women’s singles final was a masterclass in psychological resilience. Czech sensation Linda Noskova, 21, looked ready to cruise to victory against compatriot Karolina Muchova. Then, the ultimate tennis nightmare struck.

Up 5-2 in the second set, Noskova choked away five match points, dropping five consecutive games to surrender the set. Overwhelmed, she retreated to the locker room with a towel over her head to block out the noise. There, she caught sight of the trophies.

"I was like, 'I'm not going to take the small one. I'm taking the big one,'" Noskova revealed. "This will probably be the heartbreak of my life [if I lose]. I'm going to leave my soul on court."

She did exactly that, storming back to win 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. In a poignant moment after receiving the Venus Rosewater Dish from Princess Catherine, Noskova blew a kiss to the sky, dedicating the historic win to her late mother. The triumph cements the absolute dominance of Czech tennis—marking the nation's third consecutive Wimbledon women's singles champion.

Dream Team: Mladenovic and Guo Conquer the Grass

The drama didn't stop with the singles. In the women’s doubles final, an unexpected partnership struck gold.

France’s Kristina Mladenovic and China’s Guo Hanyu, who only teamed up at the start of this year, put on a clinic to defeat Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani 6-3, 7-5.

For Mladenovic: It was her seventh Grand Slam doubles title, but a deeply personal redemption after losing her only previous Wimbledon final a decade ago in 2014. "It's really a dream," she said after returning from a lengthy injury layoff.

For Guo: The victory marks a historic, maiden Grand Slam title.
