Who’s excited for Libra, Facebook’s upcoming coin?!

Some of the notable names amongst its partnership (Libra Alliance) include:

• VISA

•Mastercard 

•Paypal

•Spotify

• Coinbase

• Xapo

• Uber 

• eBay

It’s almost like the Ethereum Alliance but with more focus on the actual coin instead of Blockchain technology.

I will be seeing this one go Live and wondering how hyped it’s going to be lollll. 😎

So basically crypto which is linked with which of the things we all use every day and like it a lot. Hope that this becomes true and doesnt fall out because this is just a great coin.

I'm pretty excited for Libra. Seems like it's pretty dead-on-arrival with all the shit it's getting in the news though.

I am very excited for this new cryptocurrency. I think it will be a huge success due to the vast number of companies backing it and getting involved with it. I like that it will be a stablecoin

It's a stable coin so there wont be much need for hype.  The firms will make money on the "float" basically, in order to get Libra you have to pay the consortium, they'll invest your money while you use the Libra.  It can work, but with interest rates so low I'm not sure how well.  Also, this is basically what banks do.

So far the main use case Facebook has glommed onto is cross border payments.

As far as it goes, it is in a regulatory process to be within the legal framework in several countries. They even delayed their launch.   Some important member of the developer team commented that more than being a cryptocurrency is a payment tool.  Which I think is most important is the capability to help to mass adoption.

Countries like China and Russia just banned the idea and concept.  It probably causes a lot of confusion and causes a false idea of what a cryptocurrency really means.

So, If you have a Libra balance there in Facebook, but you published something about President Trump or you have a different thinking approach about sex or religion, your account can be banned along with your Libra balance.  That can happen.  I`m not so sure at this moment if Libra is good for Bitcoin and Altcoins.  My opinion.
