Sheffield Wednesday have re-signed midfielder Barry Bannan who is 36 years, he made 477 appearances for Wednesday in his first spell after joining in September 2015 but with the club in administration, he left for the Lions for an undisclosed fee on an 18-month contract in January.

I remember watching him at Hillsborough back in 2016 when he ran the show against a top side and thinking he could play at a much higher level, so this return feels oddly fitting even at 36.
