once i folded a flush draw and the guy next to me showed the exact same draw but worse kicker, felt like a genius for two seconds then lost it all next hand anyway. patience really is half the battle

For me the biggest leap came when I stopped playing so many suited connectors out of position and just folded preflop way more often. I used to think K9 suited looked pretty until I realized I was bleeding chips every session chasing middle pair with a bad kicker.
