Unfair and likely a scam

Has anyone else experienced this with a Stake promotion?

I created a brand-new Stake.com account, completed KYC, and later received an email saying:

"Deposit ANY amount within 48 hours to get your $10 bonus."

I deposited 1.0527 USDT well within the deadline and waited the full 48 hours, as the email instructed.

After the bonus never arrived, I contacted support. They told me my account was not eligible for the promotion, but they refused to explain why and said the decision was final.

What confuses me is that I received the promotional email directly, deposited specifically because of that offer, and then was told I was never eligible.

I'm not posting this because of the $10—I just think it's unfair that a promotion can be emailed to an account, the stated requirements can be met, and then the bonus can be denied without any explanation.

Has anyone else had a similar experience or knows why this might happen?
