Ifeanyi673 Posted July 14 #1 Posted July 14 We are officially rolling into the second half of the summer, and the movie schedule is looking incredibly crowded. Between Disney’s live-action Moana remake and Universal's Minions & Monsters taking up massive theater space, all eyes are on the upcoming July 31 release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year, with early industry projections already pointing to a massive 200\text{ million}+ opening weekend. With Peter Parker starting fresh as a street-level hero now that the world has forgotten his identity, it feels like Marvel is finally going back to the roots of what made the character so universally loved in the first place. But with so much franchise fatigue going around lately, are these massive predictions realistic, or is the box office being overly optimistic? Can a back-to-basics web-slinger really carry the entire year’s theatrical momentum on his own? Are you planning to watch it in theaters on opening weekend, or are you waiting for the initial reviews to see if the hype is actually justified? Let’s hear your predictions for the film! 🎬👇
