polor12 Posted August 6, 2019 #1 Posted August 6, 2019 for the past few weeks btc was on the news with negative feelings towards it.. With the President of the United States having a dislike of crypto and speaking on it in one of speeches.. and the following week where the IRS stating to get 10,000 btc owners to pay back taxes on digital currency.. which there is no file or paperwork that exist to file that kind of currency.. Then you hear or read that India is banning crypto altogether and will imprison who ever gets caught.. With all the media attention and negative feedback.. can this be the cause of the decreasing value of crypto.. as of now its increasing.. but it hasn't been on the news as of late.. How much of the media can effect btc or any other coins in general.. would positive coverage by the media help out.??
Fighting Posted August 6, 2019 #2 Posted August 6, 2019 You're right. Only the US, UK and India are countries that prohibit Bitcoin. when rising Bitcoin prices make these governments become afraid. they fear that Bitcoin will affect their country. so they enacted a Bitcoin ban to reduce Bitcoin prices
barbaris Posted August 6, 2019 #3 Posted August 6, 2019 All these news and events certainly affect the fluctuations in the value of bitcoin. But as the chart shows, bitcoin is much stronger than all of this and continues to grow no matter what.
allisonn Posted August 6, 2019 #4 Posted August 6, 2019 Bitcoin actually thrives on news, both negative and positive. People are starting to call out the media and authorities more and more and realizing that everyone has their own agenda behind the coverage. The only thing the media does is strengthen the idea that it's a legitimate currency, or at least a viable asset class. If it wasn't a big deal no one would be talking about it, after all.
cryptofly Posted August 6, 2019 #5 Posted August 6, 2019 Just remembering that Bitcoin is a decentralized economy and fights against all traditional banking system, this traditional banking central system for ages has controlled the economics worldwide, they own almost all kinds of industries including most important media companies. This is for sure a battle against us, media is fighting back this new economy going every day up and up. Clearly all the bad news they can take from us they are going to use it against us. POTUS did all his personal wealth without any cryptocurrency, why bitcoin will have the right to rule him? He did not and does not needs cryptos to help him to make his living. Bitcoin is useful for them.
Etude Posted August 6, 2019 #6 Posted August 6, 2019 Bitcoin has always been a target of parties who spread negative news of it since its very conception, but as we can see Bitcoin is very resillient!
dhiarahmouni Posted August 6, 2019 #7 Posted August 6, 2019 They are saying they they are fighting the bitcoin cause it can destroy the central banks but they cant do nothing about it a ban is thus feasible but the probability of it becoming law is extremely low,
Kate Posted August 7, 2019 #8 Posted August 7, 2019 Umm yup because media influence is what people mainly look at how the media looks at something so if they look at it positively i am sure that there could be a future where bitcoins are accepted everywhere.
rerosalind Posted August 7, 2019 #9 Posted August 7, 2019 Communication has a huge impact on the price of Cryptocurrency. Everyone believes in the media. If the media releases information against Bitcoin, the price of Bitcoin will come down very quickly
polor12 Posted August 7, 2019 Author #10 Posted August 7, 2019 but wouldn't be smart for those that has big influence in the btc community,, Like Elon and robot guy that owns facebook.. to use th media and give a positive side of the bitcoins or any other crypto coins.. For big names like those can change heads around.. both are wealthy people and both are into crypto,,
ScooterPi Posted August 7, 2019 #11 Posted August 7, 2019 I think occasional strong push back from governments is to be expected. They are trying to gain some control on a financial system that is intended to be outside the realm of government control. It puts them in a precarious spot, and as Economics is incredibly complex, I don't presume to know 100% if that is a well-founded fear or not.
polor12 Posted August 7, 2019 Author #12 Posted August 7, 2019 well that is the other main reason for btc.. the change of how money is handle.. Wells Fargo was using the customers money for their own expenses. yes i repeat the owners of wells fargo treated the money of their customers as their own.. paying for traveling, merchandise etc.. that is very poor taste. for those suppose to keep your money safe..
samelinda Posted August 7, 2019 #13 Posted August 7, 2019 Media influence is a double-edged sword for Bitcoin and crypto. If the media gives good news, the price of Bitcoin will go to the moon. But if the media gives bad and unfavorable information to Bitcoin, then the probability that the price will fall to the bottom of hell
Danifilth Posted August 7, 2019 #14 Posted August 7, 2019 I believe that the media is the main enemy of modern society, now all public information is mainly bought in order to influence the consciousness of our society, to assure it of the opposite, to make people believe in the information that politicians need to get their millions. I personally don’t trust the media at all, any news they have is ordering.Even take a typical story, which are now bad new buildings. Yes, it is, they are like cardboard boxes, I agree. But the subtext is different, they begin to say that the developer by this name is bad, and by this name is good, and all in order to raise profits for the sale of apartments to another.

helenshery Posted August 7, 2019 #16 Posted August 7, 2019 communication has a huge impact on Bitcoin. for example, if US or Chinese media now give bad news to Bitcoin, I believe that prices will fall very quickly.
williamshennie9 Posted August 13, 2019 #17 Posted August 13, 2019 Yeah, the last few weeks have not been all that great in terms of crypto news. However, I think that the good news will come, we must just be patient Crypto is the future in my opinion.
burgervictor Posted August 13, 2019 #18 Posted August 13, 2019 Now media is having a big impact on Bitcoin and other pennies. but if later, everyone believes and supports Bitcoin, I believe that the media will never be able to harm Bitcoin.
Kevin Santos Posted August 13, 2019 #19 Posted August 13, 2019 Media has really big influence on everything, positive view for people would means they start to buy more and price will be up , negative view oposite
chankhoreID Posted August 13, 2019 #20 Posted August 13, 2019 in my opinion why India, US, UK and China blocked crypto from their country because there might be a reason why that happened. according to my observations and read beria about the blocked crypto du many many countries because crypto has the potential to be used as a means of money laundering, corruption or other crimes because crypto is a digital payment instrument that is still very risky security may countries that block it are afraid of effects from the growing crypto now. I don't think it should be blocked, maybe the governments of other countries that block crypto have to do a review of crypto again.
SLFJ Posted August 13, 2019 #21 Posted August 13, 2019 Yeah, it surely could help with a positive feedback of important people, like Bill Gates, Elon Musk and maybe even the help of more celebrities you could make a good impression of cryptocurrencies, but I feel like crypto is our future and if I'd live in India I'd probably migrate because of that law.
Tamaco Posted December 20, 2019 #22 Posted December 20, 2019 Media is one of the fastest way to spread something. When Bitcoin reached it's all time high of $20,000, it was one of the news here in Philippines. There are also negative news about it like using it to scam people and several person was jailed because of scam/Ponzi programs.
