The rule of thumb is the "Rule of 20" (making sure the effective stacks are 20x the bet size). But what happens when the pre-flop raise is huge, or you're playing short-stacked? At what point do you guys just muck low pocket pairs pre-flop instead of burning chips hoping for that lucky 11% hit on the flop?
