Who else only does symmetrical patterns or shapes? I happen to do it everytime and I've experienced a lot of shit with it. 

Is it a bad behaviour? Should I change my strat?

I try to do te opposite on purpose, not doing symetrical stuff. But I need to think about it, by default i will choose symetry too

I did it like this...

1. play big base bet with 1 mine

2. let the random picker pick one tile

3. then pick the diagonal lines like a chessboard pattern

4. dont do this because random picker is rigged af
