Sometime  back I was searching for videos on ripple topic on youtube, and so I landed on this video that had almost a million views and  it was a video of the CEO of Ripple talking to CNN and it looked real  so real, the channeled look like it was owned by the Owner of the company , ripple, and so I checked, they had an offer, you send some ripple and then they will send you some back.

So you send them 5000 ripples, and they would send you 25000, and the number went on up and up , and there were thousands of comments below it , of people claiming to have received it.

I almost sent 5000, but I asked myself, why would the company need my ripples to send me some, so I had to dig around, and I got to this article, claiming it was a scam and people should be careful , and I still wonder till today why youtube never brought down that channel and the video, so if you come across it over the internet, be careful , dont send anything.

I have 2 Questions for you.

1. If the video was as believable but it said $ (or whatever your local currency is) would you have even considered it?

For some reason people stop thinking of cryptocurrency as money and they become gullible. Whenever you see something like, replace any mention of cryptocurrency with your local fiat currency and think about how believable it is again.

2. When you found out the channel/video is a scam, did you report the video/channel?

Youtube doesn't just know when things are scams, they rely on people to report videos that are. So when you see one, instead of posting on an unrelated forum, report the video/channel so it can be taken down.

Do not ever send ripple that you have because this is definitely a fraud, currently there are so many scams on YouTube by giving a giveaway that many have been deceived, please report videos like that so they are deleted.

Truth is if the profit is large and you are not working for it, it is probably a scam. sending 5000 ripples to receive 25000 without doing anything (scam). But i think Youtube is to blame for this.

Thanks for this, i will be careful not to believe everything i see on youtube from now on.
