ByteMeTwice Posted May 12, 2021 #1 Posted May 12, 2021 Hello, I'm usually one of the first to kick off during a bad run of luck, though, (on reflection) When I analyse my play its usually approx 95% my fault & 5% just pure bad luck. Had nothing to do today and a bit financially challenged so I decided to Have a closer look at Stake Dice 50/50 I ran a sample of around 70,000 spins at 50/50 & while it's not quite a big enough sample and my betting strategy might have been a bit on-orthodox, The results left me somewhat bemused. You can make your own mind up. hour 0-1 Played 50/50 @1satoshi hour 1-2 @2satoshi hour 2-3 @3satoshi Etc, Etc until I played final hour (9-10) @10satoshi. I played instant bet the entire 10 hours. The RESULT For 10 hours was unfortunately a loss of 278 Satoshi or BTC 0.00000278 My Rakeback for this 10 hour period was 231 Satoshi. I know the increase of 1 satoshi every hour makes the survey somewhat innacurate. The result are interesting all the same anyone any arguments for/against. Remember I have not at any time suggested the results would be the same if re-run again ?
Fransman Posted May 12, 2021 #2 Posted May 12, 2021 Even on 50/50 dice has a 0,05% edge towards the casino. Gambling is about getting a hit and run, playing 10 hours wont make you profit with any "strat" 🙂. Casino's don't make money short-term, but they do long term.

I didn't run this to win anything or gain any profit. I ran this just to pass time. Win or loss was not a factor & (believe it or not) 70,000 spins is a very small sample in the scheme of things

Not exactly aimed at strats & more about proveably fair using 50/50. But I'm sure the mathematically minded could find a profitable strat from this..
