No Sharing Personal Information.

Alright so for some of us veterens we may remember a time when stake had private chat. Private chat was great we could, openly and freely chat with or fellow gamblers without worry of others seeing it. In the newer version of stake our ability to privately chat was taken from us. I understand dumb people were getting scammed by other users and people were using stake's private chat to do so. So low and behold stake removed it... We all adapeted to this and we continued gambling still with our heads held low and our wallets held open.. Now here is the thing that i dont like and i dont agree with. I got a 48 hour mute. which I did get reduced to 24 hours, for simply saying in the public chat "Add me on Tele-vision. I'm easy to find",
Obviously I meant Telegram.

Oh and i might add, If were not suppose to share personal information then why is my girlfriend who is a member here at stake aswell get muted after she has put almost as much money as me into this site. She got muted permanently here because they said she was using two accounts to try and get rain, which isn't the case. My Girlfriend and I live in the same household so we share an IP address and we both play stake togeather. If it was a Personal information problem why would she need to present the site with Photo ID, that seems pretty personal if you ask me.


This is an open discussion I want to know what your guys thoughts on this is 
What do you guys think? Is it right for stake to have removed our ability to privately chat?
Should we be penalized for using a platform we were introduced to by them?
Please let me know?

I totally understand where your coming from @ocea45. 

I had no idea what telegram was until i was basically forced to sign up with it because Stake giveaways are on tele, the weekly VIP boost is on tele  and also tele is the only way  to communicate with our VIP hosts and other players at Stake.  In all fairness Stake made groups in tele for us and invited us there them selves   but yet we cant even mention tele in Stake chat??!!   wtf!!?? That makes no freaking sense at all  . Stake acts like tele is a competing site  but in fact tele is what helps Stake gain more players and is where players contact one another to inquire information they need about anything related to Stake . 

Stake used to be the fun place to  hang out and chat but now i feel like everyone has to "walk on egg shells"  and it's no longer a relaxed  place for adults to hangout  .  Some of the players  at Stake are people that we talk to on a daily basis  for years now  and now we feel like chat is ran by a dictatorship and if this problem continues  then i feel maybe its time we start looking for a  place to gamble  that can understand that we are adults that spend WAY TO MUCH money  here to  be told ( to an extent)  what we can and cant talk about with our  fellow gamblers and friends as long as its not offending others or creating a problem in chat .

Totally agree I avoid stake chat at all costs because it feels like the mods are just looking for reasons to mute.

Maybe if enough people see this post we might be able to change something a little bit, because i am sick and tired of stepping on eggshells. Thanks guys for the support!

Hey there ! Its a good topic to discuss with.  Sharing personal information including social media accounts is highly recommended to avoid issues or complications you might encounter in the future. I didn't see anything wrong with such rules as I took it " respect " to the players privacy " and avoiding scammers to attacked them in pm . 

Well as you've said..we are adult enough to understood simple "hint " like "ping me" ,"dm me" ,"search me on"," snaps me " etc. Those platform is very common place where scammers easily hooked their prey especially the newbies.

Mods /cs/supports are the personnels who used to reminds us to follow these kind of rules bec anything you dealt with outside the site will never be entertain. Any kind of "scammed " fraud things happened outside..stake will never be liable for such. They are just avoiding their players to fell into such tricks of other "wise gamblers " malicious proposals in pm . 

With regards to your concerns of kyc.. its just a proof that your statements is true and valid .. submitting documents like id and selfie is not a big deal anyways.

Disagree, cryptocurrency was intended to be a way to pay/transact funds anonymously. This is why I am totally anti-KYC in all aspects in regards to cryptocurrency

I agree with Amuna on thata remark. Cryptocurrency was built on anonymity and for us to need to give that up just for a gambling site is wrong. we shouldnt need to attach our faces too a bitcoin/Ethereum or any crypto for that fact

I definitely think it was stupid to remove the friend list and PMs because of those idiots who falls for scams. Honestly the best way to prevent that would be the setting allow PMs from friends only set by default. They had it set the other way around where strangers were able to contact anyone by PM unless you went to the settings and turned that feature on.

Also I’ve never heard of telegram until I was told by stake to download telegram and I find it stupid that it’s something we can’t mention or talk about in chat but up to this day stake still directs everyone to download telegram for the coupons and telegram challenges. I would also say for the majority of the people on stake that uses telegram.... simply search their stake username on telegram and the chance of it being that person is almost all the time. 

As for the KYC thing.... I am against it and rather avoid it completely cause cryptocurrency was originated as a way to do transactions anonymously i would think... am I right? Well giving up your identity to a gambling site basically breaks the whole purpose of gambling with cryptocurrency cause they have your whole identification if you plan on getting verified. Though some people don’t care for it and not bothered by it and are willing to get verified but if it became mandatory to verify I think more the half the community of stake would be gone.

I am not a vip user but I will give my opinion regarding telegram, I think it does not make much sense to censor the word telegram in the chat because as we know stake says that one of the benefits of being a vip is having access to a telegram channel, also telegram It is a messaging application that in my opinion has many good things and it is not a casino that can compete with them.
