i copied BCH wallet address day yesterday and sent 10$ to it , today after 60+ confirmations i was curious that why money not showing ,went to my stake.com wallet and opened BCH wallet and found at first look that address is different to the one i made the payment was confused as i have not used any BCH address for ages so how come i send money to wrong address after looking a while i found out that clicking "copy " icon for BCH address as well as bch legacy address at first says "COPIED" but upon pasting both addressres are different then the ones displaying on screen

why is it pls help here as all other wallet addresses are being copied as it is just BCH addresses are copied wrongly, is this some kind of hacking to my wallet or what

this is the screen shot of address that shows up on screen

Since creating my Stake account my BTC wallet has changed at least once... but i don't think thats what is happening here.

If you pressed the copy button and a different address is pasted you certainly have malware on your machine.  It searches for any bitcoin address that you copy and replaces it with its own. Always, ALWAYS triple check your addresses before sending.

I had this exact problem before, I searched the bitcoin address and at the time it had stolen roughly 70 coins worth.

I highly suggest you get a good anti virus or use another platform to send coins.

I installed Sophos home and it resolved the issue for me.

It's a tough lesson but I'm glad it wasnt a bigger deposit or withdrawl from a big win :)

Best of luck!

glad it was just 10$ gonna triple check always from now on, learned my lesson today
