Do you think it pays to go for larger multipliers or stick to clicking a couple mines and cashing out before 2x? It seems I get too scared to go for the larger multipliers and end up bleeding my balance, only getting a couple small wins in a row which are ruined by a few losses in a row.

I usually go for small bets with 24 mines, it's a 24x times your bet so if you hit it within 24 tries, you profit.

I don’t know why but mines on stake is hard to win. Before I had switch to stake I would play mines all the time and win on roobet, but on stake omg even with 2 or 3 bomb just 2 click and would hit a bomb
