Kargai Posted January 14, 2018 #1 Posted January 14, 2018 I rarely open my LinkedIn account (maybe twice a year) but this time I just saw an interesting article about banks and cryptos. Nivesh Singh explain what are the concepts of open banking and blockchain and how, together, they can be powerful. And if I start to know what blockchain is I had no idea what Open Banking represent or that since this 13th january 2018 some UK banks launched some concrete specifications about it (so it's real, not a project). Basically Open Banking has the power to revolutionise the way we move, manage and make more of our money. Integrating open banking specifications with blockchain protocol, will result in blockchain gaining access to a users bank information and operations. One of the use is instant cross-border interbank settlement system, without having banks to change the their legacy systems to blockchain. And I believe it's a way to explore too. I know that people wants for cryptos to bury the actual financial system but it will take time and some "middle way" can exist until there.
