Xylber Posted January 22, 2018 #1 Posted January 22, 2018 Source: https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/cryptocurrency-mining-graphics-card-prices/ Interesting article about VGAs prices. I made an Excel to show the overprice of it. It is not an AMD or nVidia fault, not a shortage of RAM; retailers are increasing the price because they know they will sell them anyway at any price (inflation). Welcome to capitalism..
ieatkdubsass Posted January 22, 2018 #2 Posted January 22, 2018 Yeah my GTX 960 was $240 when it came out. The 10 series version of it is twice as expensive. Thanks miners
hamur Posted January 22, 2018 #3 Posted January 22, 2018 The big rumor is that both companies are working on releasing mining-focused graphics cards which would ship with a slightly lower price tag and no video connectors. That would make them useless for running a gaming PC, but perfect for mining rigs, and could go some way to stem this tide of GPU purchasing that is leaving hardware enthusiasts and gamers with few options when it comes to their next upgrade. that part will be awesome nowadays we gamers cant find good cards at normal prices because of miners they mostly cost more or just out of stock
ieatkdubsass Posted January 22, 2018 #4 Posted January 22, 2018 EVGA just made a 2200w Power supply directed towards miners
