Hi guys! Stimubate here, your Juan and only, yours truly. lol. I need help in finding the best way to buy 1 bitcoin and the best place to store it for long term. So far I have looked into Coinbase and it has been a frustrating nightmare. I got to the part finally where you have to connect your bank account and ran into another error. What would be the cheapest way to buy a bitcoin? I would never buy one thru paxful or local bitcoin because of how much you lose paying the seller. like you get 78 cents on the dollar. -_-

And once I figure out the best place to purchase a bitcoin, what would be the best place to just store it? Blockchain Wallet with 2FA enabled? Transferring it to a physical hard drive for safe keeping and just storing it in a safe in the closet? It is scary to also think about the hard drive dying or stop working over time too. :o  So yeah lots to think about and figured I would come (hehe cum...) here and ask you fine and dandy and honest and sexy folk and folkettes. folk it. Thank you!!!! And have a Stimubatingly Terrific day and or night. -_-

- If you have a safe computer (not used for creacked software, or deep web browsing), just keep an electrum wallet there, and make a backup on pendrive/SD card you don't use for anything else. I think it is the most basic way.

- If you want more security, print the private keys or 12 words of Electrum, but have a backup encrypted on the PC (with the private keys hidden in a passwored zip, or inside an image).

Not the most elegant ways, but safe enough. In Bitcointalk there are extremely safe and paranoid ways to store BTC, check there for ideas.

I think to buy in our time is not a problem. But it's safe to buy and with minimal losses and commissions this is really a problem. I'm using a Blockсhain with 2fa protection, there were no problems.

Despite it's increasing mainstream appeal crypto currencies can still be a chore to buy because of their irreversability.  Depending on where you live, I would suggest exactly what you did, a mainstream exchange like Coinbase or Bitstamp.  I've heard great things about GDAX which is the exchange part of Coinbase.

For storage you must control the private keys.  I'd use Electrum a light wallet, and keep the seed for the wallet written down in a safe place, or a couple of safe places.

Good Luck!

My laptop crashed once and power problem in last 4 months. So I would prefer online wallet than hard drive. Blockchain with 2fa and SMS password combination seems best. Good luck :)
