I want to talk about these $100k Races ... are these truly fair?

So as soon as the previous race was over I decided to use a $1000 bankroll and placed a few 1.01 bets in the Casino as well as some Sports bets ...

So by wagering $4200 I was 84th position with a $100 prize, so I tried to accelerate it a bit more.

Again I placed a few "safe" bets (note: nothing's truly safe, not even 1.01 bets)

So later on several hours later I stopped wagering, as I saw the "best" I could get is that $100 prize and it would probably decline as I don't want to wager 5-6 digits right now:

So as you can see:

• Position 71st = $110
• Position 84th = $100
• Position 253rd = $10

Not to mention in the previous race I ended it up around 2500th and received only a $2 prize...

Now,

I would like to ask - is this fair? It looks out of this $100k race only the top 3 or so are winning really significant prizes ...

And how can we ensure there is no Stake account involved in these? e.g. I remember this aaccbb user who won that big $1m giveaway for last Christmas/New Year.

I am not saying the race is not a good idea, but I'm saying 99% of those who wager probably get peanuts out of it ...

 

So just like the weekly giveaway only those who wager tons - win a significant prize (and some said last week it was Drake who won 3 prizes) - so is it all fair?

I dont even care about these races...just for whales. Would had been better just to give them more rakeback instead.

Your assessment is accurate - the races are irrelevant and just spam for 99.99% of players. It used to be possible to rank quite near to the top without being a Sheikh or on the board of Gazprom. Now you need to bet the GDP of a small country to win $15.

I wouldn't be surprised if stake made fake accounts for different reasons, but without proof I can't accuse them of it.
