Ath3na Posted June 8, 2022 #1 Posted June 8, 2022 Sup Everyone, Here's some advice I have for anyone who is interested: 1) When you're winning, set a withdraw point and a stop point. Meaning, when the balance reaches this number I am going to withdraw 'x' amount. Or, if the balance drops to this number, I am going to stop and withdraw 'x' amount. The remaining amount you leave yourself to play should then be split in two, half in balance and half in vault as a back up. 2) Never give back what you take away. If you withdraw, under no circumstances should you redepo anything that day. And when you do redeposit in the event you rip, it should be no greater than the original starting balance amount you had prior to withdrawing. This is very important because, if you're constantly redepositing, you're most likely betting larger than necessary as you feel you have endless backups. Play like your current balance is all you have. 3) Learn the Pomodoro Technique. The Pomodoro Technique is a time management system that encourages people to work with the time they have—rather than against it. Using this method, you break your workday into 25-minute chunks separated by five-minute breaks. So I applied this to gambling. Essentially, play for 25 minutes, break for 5 minutes. This is really helpful for me when I play limbo. Every 3 breaks I take, I have to use the fourth interval on slots, then I can go back to limbo on the fifth interval. 4) Before you rain or tip someone, ask yourself if you would feel comfortable doing that in real life. For example, would you today, go outside on the street and throw 1k in the air and just walk away without worrying about money lost? Never set an expectation for people to pay back tips given, and don't do loans. You are not an ATM, nor are you responsible for maintaining other peoples gambling habits. I have heard from so many users, some who are in very unfortunate circumstances, and some who have even threatened mine and my families lives for money. Basically what I am trying to say is, don't be bullied by internet trolls, don't feel obligated to do something you don't want to do. Because if the roles were reversed, they wouldn't care at all. Take care of those who take care of you. 5) Remember every day is a new day, a fresh start. Don't compare yesterdays losses to todays balance, you set yourself up for chasing that way. Mental health is a topic that is extremely important to me. It's not all happy moments in gambling, there's ups and downs and most of the time more of the latter. With sharing these tips, I do hope that maybe I can help someone. Chat is always really hectic and I'm sorry if I don't reply to everyone right away, but I try to be there for those in need and do my best to give advice and support when I can. I wish you all the best, Ath3na 💛
mementomori Posted June 8, 2022 #4 Posted June 8, 2022 I love this. I knew all of this before, but the biggest problem I have is putting all that into practice. I really lack self discipline when it comes to gambling and I'm extremely impulsive and get triggered very easily when I lose. And yes, mental health really is an important topic. We should pay more attention to it, especially the damages gambling addiction can cause. I felt that first hand. Hope this topic will help people out, take care

laci020 Posted June 9, 2022 #14 Posted June 9, 2022 @Ath3nawe need help of course. a great many of us played irresponsibly and chased ourselves into debt. it’s very hard to get up from here, but these good tips might drive the process forward. Thanks the good words!
II3ree Posted June 9, 2022 #16 Posted June 9, 2022 Thanks for the advice. Very good and important Tips. I have the big Problem that im chasing my losses but im working on that 😅 The Promodoro technique Sounds interesting. I think i'll try that in the Future. 👍 Im Not that often in the stakechat because i never Managed to make Friends there. 😐 Kinda feels Like everyone is Just trying to Farm Rain. That withdraw Point is good Tip. Lost about 80% of my big Wins the hours after that. It's better to Just payout after a big Hit and Take a Break for 1 or 2 days. 👍 Wish you all the best and thanks for that Post, II3ree 🙌
em3cee Posted June 9, 2022 #17 Posted June 9, 2022 youre really great buddy thats why i think you are blessed. keep it up legends!

3) Aprenda a Técnica Pomodoro. Desejo a todos o melhor, Ath3na 💛 Hello, I'm Brazilian and I've been here for a short time at stake, I've heard a lot about you in the other chat and I just wanted to congratulate you on the initiative of this post, it gave me great clarity and I really hope it helps some friends and colleagues of ours on the platform, it's like they always say mental health first, big hug may God continue to bless you always! 😇💙
