February is the month of love and affection. Every 14th of the month across the Philippines  and in other places around the world. People would buy some presents, candy, flowers and even cook something , are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of Valentines day. This special day seems like holiday for most couples too.

But did you know how it all started? Let’s find out.

It all goes back to a mysterious, third century saint who suffered a brutal fate.

St. Valentine of Terni was martyred in 269 C.E. According to legend, the Roman physician and priest was beaten, stoned, and beheaded for the crimes of helping a couple Christians to get married.

This just so interesting to know the roots why we are celebrating the most shared loved in a day.

This story of St. Valentine became the patron saint of love and thanks to him, we have this worth celebrating. Right?

How do you celebrate valentines day in your country? Hope you will have a good time with your loved ones this coming February 14.

Don’t forget to share some love on your friends, office mates, family, partner.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Advance Happy Valentines
