• They lack some key features that really should have been addressed ages ago such as Chat Commands ( clear, timeout, ban) and an API.

There are a lot of bugs on the platform, but if you pay attention to their community, you can tell they're working hard to make it better. As a software engineer, can't help but appreciate the amount of time it takes to address issues.

Kick live is okay but I prefer to use dlive because I have experienced lag in kick live several times

I think Kick.live has so much more potential then dlive  for your weekend streams because we can all immediatly respond and u see us realtime. with that said i have to say i will LOVE your streams especially since u GOT the MAN from BOSTON STEVE!!!!!!! LETS GO BRUINS!!!! oh yah and the simp mikey is fun too. that weird guy Edward u should think about replacing him with just STEVE IMO   but yes kick or dlive we will be happy but half of chat will always complain so stream on wich ever u feel most comfortable !

i like that kick has no delay vs dlive. That way you can try to keep a conversation with eddie.

The problem with Kick seems like is only working on chrome browser and sometimes you get random black screens.

About mod work, dlive is not mod friendly, you cant do shit apart from timeout people for 5 minutes or ban them and you cant take it back if you make a mistake. i dont know about kick, but probably is also better there.

 

Overall i like kick better, but surely needs some improvements.

kick works great for me, granted i use chrome browser on a laptop to watch stream. don't notice much delay on chat which is great for interaction between Eddie and chat but do notice that stream sometimes freezes for a few seconds then picks back up.

Kick may not be able to handle both high quality streaming and or viewer count at the same time. Either of which may be the main cause for lag and blank screen for some.

Eddie may also have his stream quality settings too high. I think that might be what's causing the lag on his end with live games and party mode.

ultra low latency is great, if only there was a way to get lossless video to avoid frequent switch of high/low quality frames.

Not having a delay when you are in conversation with someone is priceless , kicklive doesn’t have the stickers yet but Eddie will sell his lemons at his lemonade stand and make a few $$ to get us stickers and emotes just watch, no need to fret. Right @Edward?

From the opening of the stream it just black screen even after a few refresh. Lag is really bad and chat freezes. The only advantage I see is that the delay is shorter than dlive. So overall, I still prefer dlive on the succeeding streams and maybe dlive will improve in the future since a lot of streamers are now coming.

Kick is alright - the delay is insignificant, the chat is slow enough to be understandable and not too flooded. However - the stream tends to black out at times, especially when you refresh the page. I'd say I prefer it over Dlive, although both options are fine with me.

Love it, the no delay is the best. Chat experience is great and we can hear yall great. Only thing i would say is the lack of mobile support and not being able to change video quality.

Okay! Let's do a quick review here about the Kick Live. 

In fairness, it runs very smooth compare to the other two platforms the were previously used. The visual, lightnings, and sounds are perfect and clear. Minimal to zero delay. However, there are times the chat freezes maybe because of the number of chatters. There are times also that the screen turns black. For me it's a 9/10. This is an honest, unbiased, truthful review!
