omibnu Posted February 27, 2018 #1 Posted February 27, 2018 my user name in stake game and forum Same my name omibnu, from Indonesia with my lovely president Joko Widodo aka Jokowi, just go to the point. the security system of the stake is very weak, in fact tonight my account has been hacked when I was playing. how can 1 ID be login/playing simultaneously in different IP? that's your weakness of the stake, only 200 members and you have this problem happening? what if stake grow and have thousands or millions of members? before the incident at 10:05 I received an email password recovery. at 10:06 PM i was playing bacarat (how can i still play, while there is reset password?) then I will play and suddenly ballance 0 I immediately contacted support, and just found out there is a play DICE in my account, why can play in 1 ID in different locations simultaneously? I ask from any IP for one day I login, but the support does not want to inform me, I understand maybe this is the internal procedures of stake. I just login from Indonesia. luckily I have only a few coins here, and that is the coin borrowed from @lupandina (to @lupandina, I will pay your loan, if the stake does not change it, I will pay with my QQQQ and plinko reward). sorry, I am not good at english, for more details I attach the picture or chronological Thankyou. if the stake does not pay back my account, please support me with donate/tips.
Moderator maverick528 Posted February 27, 2018 Moderator #2 Posted February 27, 2018 You MUST ALWAYS have 2FA set. Sorry for your loss. Take it as a valuable lesson. On the internet you must be very very careful, always.
lupandina Posted February 27, 2018 #3 Posted February 27, 2018 I'm really sorry about your loss... And I'm sorry, but you're not first, and, sadly not last victim... Change your email password immediately! As you see, it's hacked, and someone can recover your passwords in many other sites. I can see, you even use the same username there. Think, where else you are using the same username/password combination? Change passwords everywhere! 2FA is necessary always and anywhere! Even if you don't have funds there. I learned this lesson only after losing 70$. And after that case, for next few months I still had similar tries to hack my other accounts in other sites everyday. Check your computer from malware. Be aware of phishing sites. Internet is very unsafe place, and only you are responsible for yourself...

Moderator maverick528 Posted February 27, 2018 Moderator #5 Posted February 27, 2018 There are 2FA programs for PC, I use WinAuth here. There are some legit users here that bet on more than one computer or IP at the same time, for example they let an auto betting session on a PC and manually bet on the cellphone. As I said, 2FA is the most important thing you can do here to secure your account.
testB Posted February 27, 2018 #6 Posted February 27, 2018 Locking out multiple logins would have just kicked out when they got in, they could have still plundered the account, no? Might be just me, but it's strange how they'd try and gamble. The 2FA is great advice. I'd only add that you should run it from a different device, and you might want to backup the code somewhere else before linking them. Just in case you ever loss the device.
wilbur Posted March 1, 2018 #7 Posted March 1, 2018 mehh the problem there is your 2fa. so just an advice . if you dont want to be hacked again use different password for stake and for your email (from bitcointalk) well maybe someone cracked your account. best possible solution is 2fa , change pass for 2 accounts
Dan Posted March 1, 2018 #8 Posted March 1, 2018 You are responsible for your account security. We encourage all users to enable 2FA on their accounts to provide an additional level of security. Please ensure you have scanned your computer for any infections and change all your passwords, specifically for both your email and other potentially compromised accounts. Support has offered you the best amount of assistance they can provide, but its up to you to be responsible with your credentials.
