Shaniqua Posted March 13, 2018 #1 Posted March 13, 2018 I remember there was a topic or part of a topic when Kargai said we can reward good users or makers of content in the forum by tipping them in the forum via the economy dashboard. However i really dont think anyone ever does this. Maybe if there was a "tip user button" righht next to their name in every post that they make on the left side by their post.. then it may be made easier to do this? People may also just forget that you can do this. Also maybe it would be cool if everyday you or support staff can have a "x" amount of satoshies allocated to them to simply manually tip reward the content they feel is helpful? Also maybe if a suggestion is liked by dev team, maybe they can do the same.. something like that. Also it would be nice if next to the button or the button im talking about can already have a preset "tip user 1000 or 500 satoshi" so its like a one click then confirm deal.

I have tipped a fair few users for quality content in the past, I believe you may have also received a little bit too also once? Either way I do like the idea of making the tip user more accessible. I will look into building it in a future update!

Obviously first to avoid satoshis forum farming but also to keep the tip as a "real" reward and not making it so "common" that a tip in the chat. Nobody really care about receiving a 1k tip in chat nowadays. On forum where people have to make a minimum effort to receive it (posting something interesting) it could be nice to make it more "special". For example by limiting the number of tips a user can do one same day (ie: 3/day), by limiting the number of time you can send to the same user (ie: twice a week), by different levels of tips depending on your rank (tips of 500 sats max for noob, 1000 for member, 1500 for Hero, ..) that will limit farmers. Just some random thoughts

Just some random thoughts i like this but at the same time should we not focus on quality over quantity? there will be people that are member but have trash posts but people that are noob that post very high quality stuff but they are restricted because they are focusing on making stuff good therefor making them want to get member so they wont post as good posts?

Ofc we want quality over quantity. That's why people who posts useless content or don't follow the forum's rules receive warning points and sometimes are muted or banned. Receiving warning points means they win less satoshis for their posts and that they can't participate to most of the giveaways. The reward will be available for everyone, noob or old players, so everybody who bring nice content could receive tips no matter the level. Just that noob will have to wait few days to receive a better amount. A sort of initiation phase ^^ But like I said it's just some thoughts on the run, maybe thoses limitations aren't needed or are too difficult to implement. Dunno

Dunno yes i understand what you are saying but put it this way, you know badgies forum series type thing where she basically says how to play stuff properly and give everyone advice on how to play them, they are some of the best quality forum posts i have ever seen but she wont be able to easily post them constantly making her a "noob" on the forum and she will have to wait few days to receive a better amount, but at that point so many people will have seen it that those people likely will not go back onto the post as they have already viewed it, at the start of when the forum post is posted its thats the time it thrives and is viewed, if you restrict them the players like that are going to loose tips.

Just some random thoughts the idea is great... but people still dont seem to be on board with it.. everyone wants to keep their santoshies for themselves =P unless you meant the tip was free for them to send.... or maybe 1/2 off lol
