As of today, I would say BTC won't die.

If in case BTC will die, maybe due continuous price dip. Well, what causes those dips?

Government wanting to intervene and centralize it.

Panic sellers. and others.

But again, I don't see it happening soon. As Satoshi Nakamoto said, BTC will live forever. :D

Bitcoin will survive as long as anyone wants to mine it.  As the existence of so many alt coins will attest, it takes a lot to kill a crypto coin.

However, Bitcoin surviving is a different question than Bitcoin being worth thousands of dollars each.  I think that is a more difficult question to answer.  There was a long downturn in price from 2013 to 2016, where the price failed to surpass earlier highs.  I can see that happening and as a result a lot of people losing faith in Bitcoin and moving to something else that would seem to offer higher and/or quicker returns.

I can see governments being aggressive about converting Bitcoin into their local currencies, so I can see that harming Bitcoin quite seriously.

We will never know, but I believe there will be a lot of changes in the cryptocurrency world. Although some of the great minds in crypto still predicts a high value for bitcoin. 

Let's hope for the best :D

I am not an expert but I can say that it will never die. It is what it is. It started it all and will stay forever.  There is a possibility that it will drop its value but be gone is impossible.

Bitcoin won't be gone in the near future for sure.. it will go up and up, as the supply and demand law applies... bitcoin is still on infant stage as not all people knows about it so there is still more room for it to grow.. i am no expert too,and i could be wrong but it is what it is, it can make you rich and it can make you broke. Still, I know the bitcoin is still on early stage so it will still soar high B|

i happened to read some article regarding this and some scenarios that might cause the downfall of bitcoin are:

  • everyone will turn their back to bitcoin
  • government intervention (why do they want to intervene? because there's no tax in bitcoin)
  • miners stopped mining

things might change in the near future who knows

think it's on rest for now. just steady ups and downs. 

also, it's already been established. so i don't think it would be gone that fast.

Maybe it will surely die if the bubble bursting will happen. Lets just hope it will never happen and if ever will happen hoping I can at least withdraw half of my investment in btc xD.

According to the bitcoin price schedule published by Bloomberg, the 50-day moving average is approaching the 200-day moving average. If he touches the latter, or, worse, crosses it, the price of bitcoin will drop significantly.
