Apple corporation, which is known for its scrupulousness to products of third-party developers, has let software to its store for the production of virtual coins.

Owners of Apple computers that installed the program Calendar 2 from the official store of the Mac Store did not like its unusual functionality. Her developer, in addition to the usual options of the event planner and tasks, added the possibility of mining crypto-currency, the BBC reported.

On numerous complaints of Apple Mac owners who installed Calendar 2, the company Qbix, which created this software, was forced to disable the code of mining. Among the reasons given, the production of crypto-currency slowed the work of computers.

According to the Qbix site, its Calendar 2 as of March 2018 has downloaded 757 thousand users. This figure includes all versions of the software, while the update with Montero crypto currency development was released by the developer last week. Since then, complaints have been received from customers who could not disable the code for mining. Those who launched it complained that this option absorbed too much computing resources of their computers, thereby slowing down their work.
