one thing i learned is dont say thanks to someone when he private tips you because people will pm beg him or her

anyways i think that's the point of private tip to avoid that kind of situation

You can say thanx in PM too.

This is what I try to do always, if I get a private tip I immediately send a TY message in PM.

If the person that sent u the tip does not want it to be public, saying thanks in public is like a betrayal of the secret......

I agree.

Normal reaction from the crowd is to comment about the tip if it's Pub, or with the "Thanks" if its private.

So better make it secret. PM your thanks to the tipper.
