It's necessary from game to game for short term success, for long term probability it's probably meaningless, but it actualy hleps alot, i change if i see a seed is bad within the first 100 hits

Keep in mind idk how to choose a good seed or if it even makes a difference. With that said if a gambler does something to change their luck it doesn't matter if it's superstition or actual manipulation of the outcome, if it makes you feel more comfortable with each bet I say do it. 

Usually, I change the seed soon as I notice the balls dropping like there's a magnet pulling the balls towards the middle. Regular plinko people who drop single balls at a time know what I'm talking about.

Also, if I buy SC for a second or third time and the previous session was a long streak of bad balls. I'll start with a new seed before I drop my first ball.

Changing the seed, the bet amount, etc. has (literally) no influence on the mathematical expectation of the game.

This is not an opinion

 

This is because:

- each event is independent
- they are not influenced by previous events (read Gambler's fallacy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler's_fallacy )
- all events have house edge
