How do you check some users/players?

Recently there are people impersonating other usernames. 

So before making transactions, you really have to check their profile before sending them your hard earned money. 

So what i always do is to talk to them on their tele and ask them to appear on chat, then if they appear, I also check their profile. 

Another way is to add them as a friend. So they are on my list. 

Always be careful who you add on your lists. 

How about you? Do you even send satoshi even when they are offline?
