ccc222 Posted August 26, 2017 #1 Posted August 26, 2017 People have been abusing of the rep system here and getting themselves high amounts of rep whether it be spamming with accounts or asking people to rep their stuff with incentive. This invalidates the whole purpose of the rep point system: Integrity, honesty, and trustworthyness. If users are going to be told the rep points shows how trustworthy someone is then it needs to be not so easily manipulated. Any scammer can come and make themselves trustworthy by rep points, it puts everyone at risk! Catosa was just punished for abusing this, and his points removed, within the hour he got all the way up to 300+ rep points. lol has to be the most easiest system to manipulate lol atleast it looks like it. Those points went up like Chartbet hahahha. I would not recommend trusting someone off rep points until the value of these points are better proven.
Dan Posted August 26, 2017 #2 Posted August 26, 2017 Rep means nothing, maybe its better to rename it to likes, because its based on people liking your posts. Not really any point in abusing it because its meaningless.

I thought Catosa was a legit user that earned all his rep points through hard work, what did he do wrong?

Did you even bother to click the link. was all you saw "you dont meet the requirments" and thought thats all i wanted to tell you? If that were the case i think I would have just written "you dont meet the requirements" instead of posting a link to where you can read what catosa did wrong.
Postlegend Posted August 27, 2017 #7 Posted August 27, 2017 Yeah, this is the second time reading it. Catosa has a lending service in the forum. The requirements are below. I still don't see how he is abusing the "likes". Am I overlooking something? " Hi Stake, I'm provinding a lending service to people who fit the current requirements. Loan amount: 0.0005-0.01 Post amount required: 50 post Registered for over 1 week. All loans will be sent to their ingame Stake username. Forum Username must match Stake Username. The interest is 15% "

Bitcoinani Posted August 27, 2017 #10 Posted August 27, 2017 I think its better to do 1 rep per day like we do on pd forum

cipok Posted August 27, 2017 #13 Posted August 27, 2017 Maybe you guys need to put same trust scheme just like bitcointalk.org ( if you guys still want to use "trust" on the future )
Postlegend Posted August 27, 2017 #14 Posted August 27, 2017 Yeah, Bitcointalk has a great trust system. Earning "activity" is also a difficult task, one must be an active user practically everyday. Haha

I'm not programmer so I can't understand how they really work Anyway here's bitcointalk's admin(Theymos) explanation about trust : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1066857.msg11432782#msg11432782 For what I can understand is the first Default Trust (DT) member are the member who are very trusted for example : admin, developer, official staff , etc When DT member decide to give someone trust, there will be a calculation for the trust based on algo above

Looking with Primedice is not so dependent on the reputation I would like that here as in Primedice was)
