xtinepink Posted May 9, 2018 #1 Posted May 9, 2018 Not all people loves bitcoin. Like Gary Cohn who said he is a believer of blockchain and not bitcoin. He thinks that there will be a global currency that is simplier than bitcoin. What do you think of this one? source: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/08/we-will-have-a-global-cryptocurrency-but-not-bitcoin-says-gary-cohn.html
SuddenlyBroke Posted May 9, 2018 #2 Posted May 9, 2018 Good one, I think blockchain was the cool thing that Bitcoin brought to life that will still be around even when Bitcoin isn't. So many currencies now (all the alt-coins) lend from the blockchain technology that Bitcoin started. I think the guy in the article you quoted is super simple in his outlook, a currency simpler than Bitcoin? But he gives no ideas about how it can be made simpler, or what technology it will be based on. The cool thing about bitcoin is people don't really need to understand how it works to use it which is something I like, and the more media coverage it gets the more people start learning about and it becomes more mainstream.
blueprints Posted May 9, 2018 #3 Posted May 9, 2018 Its almost a global currency, i definitley think theres potential and kinda silly to think otherwise. But i think there can def be made something tbetter
CaptainLorca Posted May 9, 2018 #4 Posted May 9, 2018 No crypto is not global. You can get any crypto in any place of the world, in theory. i think what is meant is a crypto that is just easy to use for everybody and safe af. And that will be a controlled and developed crypto by governments and banks, if you like it or not. Bitcoin and some alts will always have their right to stay and will survive such a „fedcoin“. But it will not get everyone to use crypto. For that it’s still „too complicated“.. finding a wallet. Understanding how crypto works.. setting the right fee. That’s too much for the most and usual man and woman.
