After spending good 1 month on Stake chat, I can say that many players gamble their daily or monthly expense money for gambling. It made me feel sad and hence wanted to write the post here related to it. Few things that I follow which I would advise other fellow players too. Yesterday, I hit 1000x on Plinko with 1 cent and I had comments on chat why am I playing with such small bet. Though I wanted to react to the statement however I didnt. It's about a mindset.

Remain realistic. Don't gamble with money you need for everyday expenses. ...

Gambling is game of probability, gamble the bets accordingly. Getting hungry for high wins on high bets will dry you up

Know your limits: money and time. ...

Don't borrow it. ...

Remember to take breaks often. ...

Control your reaction on winning or losses. Go slow

You feel sad that you see signs of addiction in many of the users. Do you feel that stake take any responsibility for this or try to discourage it, or do you think that they encourage it? How does that make you feel about stake as a company?

Out of curiosity, do you feel you've been lucky in your first month here, that you've got the expected return on your bets or you've lost more than you should have/been unlucky?

Once again this topic reminds us the consequences of  gambling, how it affects our pocket money, including our health coz gambling continiously is unhealthy.

For me after reaching P3, i made up my mind to stop at this level bcoz chasing wins and levelling up just putting in more and more money(depo) and ofcourse sacrificing the money alotted to some important things. Just playing my game building up some $$$ on balance during free time, stop at one point if i get some small wins...

Thanks for sharing some hints and experiences you've seen on stake chatroom,  @panky161 I wish you goodluck👌💛

It is not for nothing that they say that excitement is the most powerful drug in the world, and it is incomparable.

Approaches it wisely, but not everyone is able to cope.

So did I, at some point I lost a lot of important funds for me. And only the consequences gave me an understanding.

But people usually think (Now I'll be lucky, a little more, I feel the win is close) That's what will ruin you, these very thoughts.
Take care of yourself, friends!

I dont think that stake has any role to play here. It's about individual attitude and reaction towards gambling.

Answering your question on being lucky, it's going on good. Couple of big wins and accumulation of small losses being equal balances it. I play for fun seeking some small benefits coming from it. I don't feel sad even it doesn't come.

Stake, like any other casino, does have a responsibility to their customers when it comes to gambling responsibly.

However, problem gamblers make up the huge majority of casino profits, and Stake are as aware of that as anyone. They actively seek to take advantage and maximise profits where they can. Million times easier to get away with it on a Curacao license too.

I find it a bit confusing that seeing so many addicts makes you sad, but you attribute none of the blame to the place that actively encourages and enables their addiction.

It's safe to say that most casinos wouldn't exist if you were a typical customer and that your play here is subsidised by people with an addiction. It's not out of the goodness of stake's heart that they allow you to do that, but in the hope that you'll also become an addict. But you're above that and fully in control, because of your mindset?

I think we may have different views here. First view may be, no one calls people from home and drag to play. They come on their own and play. Casino puts certain procedures and policies in place for responsible gambling and not sure if anything else can be done. So, not blaming the place. For a gambler if it's not stake it could be some other name "fake".

I am in control as I have a family and think about them before I go mad. It helps me not to go mad :)

Thanks for your view though...really appreciate it

Addictions come in different sizes. If someone is going to spend their money that is allotted for bills and expenses on stake… that’s their risk. Stake doesn’t force a deposit, in fact the many steps to make one are time consuming.

if the person who is doing this realizes, and only after they realize, they will self exclude. Stake is very exclusion friendly…

I play a hand of blackjack... I get 20... dealer gets 6.. (easy win in my mind) then dealer flips the hidden card... dealer now have 16... dealer takes another card and it's 5..... dealer gets 21..... I curse a bit.... quit the game close the browser... turn off the computer... go make coffee... go outside.. take a sip of coffee and then tell myself.. you lose, you get nothing, good day sir.
