Difference between monthly,post monthly and pre-monthly

I never understood if these monthly, post monthly , and pre monthly are same or not, or on what basis are these given? Are these given everytime?

Pre-monthly and post-monthly bonuses are non-guaranteed bonuses that have a fixed amount for each rank. Of course, you get the maximum fixed amount for your rank if you have good gameplay.

Only monthly and weekly bonuses are guaranteed and the amount depends on your weekly and monthly gameplay. The amount of these two bonuses is not limited.

Seems like every time I get a pre-monthly bonus, my monthly bonus is tiny compared to months without pre-monthly. If this is the case, I'd rather just have a monthly.
