  1. Eddie was the kind of guy who scoffed at ghost stories. A practical man, he believed in facts, not folklore. So when he heard about the Whispering Woods — a place locals avoided after sunset — he decided to prove it was all nonsense. One October evening, Eddie packed a flashlight, a camera, and a thermos of coffee, determined to spend the night in the woods. The trees loomed like silent sentinels as he entered, their branches clawing at the sky. The deeper he went, the quieter it became — no birds, no wind, just an unnatural stillness. Around midnight, Eddie heard it: a faint whisper, like leaves rustling without wind. He turned, but no one was there. The whispers grew louder, forming words he couldn’t quite understand. His flashlight flickered. Then died. Panicked, Eddie stumbled through the dark, trying to retrace his steps. That’s when he saw it — a pale figure standing between the trees, eyes glowing faintly. It didn’t move. It didn’t blink. It just whispered. “Eddie…” He ran. Branches tore at his clothes, roots tripped him, but he didn’t stop until he burst out of the woods, gasping for breath. He never spoke of what he saw. But he never mocked ghost stories again. STAKEID - DAVIDWE And the Whispering Woods? They still whisper. Especially when someone new enters. Especially if their name is Eddie
