  1. The total number of posts on the poker forum increased by 1000 in just 24 hours. All of the accounts are bots and are saying random stuff not related to poker. Is this site just completely unmoderated? Is someone trying to hide something? Just a terrible look for this site. Now, when people say that you play against bots on stake, I actually believe them.
  2. I had that happen a few days ago, but it hasn't happened since. Got kicked from 2 of 4 tables I was playing. Try closing the browser and hop back in. Might have to wait a few minutes for an open seat to appear.
  3. I like the idea, it would be fun to get some of my long-distance friends playing together. On the other hand, people like to ruin things for other people. It opens up so much collusion (people working together) that it is probably not a good idea. Even if you needed a private key to play the table. Stake would definitely be able to tell and ban the accounts, but maybe they wouldn't. People are already unsure about bots playing, and this would cause more problems. Also, the rake being so high would kill the fun if you were just playing with friends.
  4. They have 0.01/0.02 tables, which means you play with $2. Very good for players just starting out. I would look up "poker preflop range" and maybe watch some youtube videos while you play. It's a very fun game.
  5. There isn't anywhere that Stake posts all of the updates, but here is what I noticed for cash games: 1) Player Names - Before you sit down or hop in a hand, the usernames are hidden. They are labeled "Player 1", "Player 2", etc. I think this change was created to make tables softer because you can no longer snipe players who have little experience. I don't really mind this change, but I do miss being able to see how much everyone was playing with in the main poker menu. Another thing is, you can't see who is multi-tabling and who is only playing on one table. Trying to find tables where players were only playing that one table usually meant they were fish and playing for fun. 2) Player Labels - Before the update, color labels and notes were saved for long periods of time. Now, every time you stop playing and hop back on, everything is gone. Does this happen to everyone, or is there something wrong on my end? If it were implemented for everyone, this would create softer games. This is a bad change in my opinion, only because I did have some key details about some players. 3) Open Hand - One of the worst features, in my opinion, is having to click "Open Hand" before you see your cards. Now, it seems to only show on the Big Blind, Small Blind, and I think when you just played a hand. The reason I dislike it so much is that it does not show your cards on the table preview at the top of the screen. When you are multi-tabling, it gets very annoying and slows down play. EDIT: Just now realized you can turn it off lmao sorry!!! Here is how to turn it off: "Please open the settings menu in the top-right corner of the Poker client and uncheck “Squeeze hole cards” from the Table settings section. Once this option is disabled, your cards will no longer be displayed as real table cards, and you won’t need to squeeze them at the start of each round to see them." I am all for changes that create softer tables and a friendly environment for people who don't really play poker. I really like that Stake doesn't allow 3rd party HUD's, or doesn't show advanced stats like VIP. Have you noticed any other changes? What changes WOULD you like to see? These are just the ones that have slightly affected me. Let me know your thoughts. Also, we need more avatars!!! I like the current set, but also maybe add more with different art styles. Similar to how xbox/playstation have different sets.

  7. Yes, there are very few good poker players. Anytime there is a casino that has poker, you get a lot of inexperienced players that just blow money. I would start at the $10 buy in cash games to get a feel of how it works. If you're a winning player, move to the $50 and play 6 tables at a time. Even the $500 tables are pretty easy.
