  7. My message for March 8th: My aunt Nadia isn’t famous. She has no awards, no big following, no headlines. But she is the woman who quietly changed my entire life. At 15, my family was struggling financially. My father lost his job, money was tight, and I was ready to give up on university. “Girls can wait,” some said. I was a good student, but reality was winning. Then Aunt Nadia stepped in. A modest public school teacher, single, no kids, living simply. One evening she came with an envelope — several months of her savings. She told my parents: “Let her continue her studies. I’ll cover registration and books this year. We’ll figure out the rest. She must not stop.” My parents cried. I cried. She didn’t give speeches about women’s rights. She just acted. For three years she helped when she could: money when possible, evening math and French lessons, university open days, help with motivation letters, teaching me to stand tall when I doubted myself. Because of her, I got my baccalaureate with honors, studied computer science (where very few girls were from my area back then), and today I work as a web developer in a Tunis startup. I support my parents now and I’m already saving to help my little cousin who dreams of becoming a doctor. Aunt Nadia never asked for anything. When I thank her, she just shrugs: “It’s normal, that’s what family does.” But I know it’s not normal — it’s extraordinary. She sacrificed her comfort, time, and money so a shy teenager could believe she deserved more than an early marriage or a dead-end job. So today, on International Women’s Day, I want to say: Thank you, Tata Nadia. Thank you for believing in me when I stopped believing in myself. Thank you for showing — by action — that one woman can move mountains for another. You’re not just my aunt. You’re my first feminist, my first hero, and the reason I never give up when someone says “a girl can’t…” I love you endlessly, and I promise to pass on what you gave me. Happy March 8th to all the quiet, unstoppable women like you. (And if this story wins, the prize goes first to her — she deserves it a thousand times more.) ❤️❤️❤️ Cookiegod27
