What is your Stake username - Kwadoone
How much time on average do you spend on chat every day? 12-16 hours in most cases.
Can you briefly explain what the job of a moderator is? Over see all users in our chat room, help any newcomers with questions they may have about the stake platform, or even seasoned users. as I am very knowledgeable about most everything when it comes to stake.
Why do you want to become a moderator on this chat? I have watched our room slowly grow and come together as one family, I would love to see it to continue that way. Although I will say I believe Opeyemi1924 is more deserving of this position than myself as he has more seniority in our room.
Have you ever been warned, muted, or banned? Unfortunately yes.
Have you ever been a moderator on any other platform? Yes
Are you prepared to work at nighttime? Yes
Scribbled,
Kwadoone

Hello Stake Team,
I’m excited to apply for the Nigerian-speaking moderator position. I believe my dedication, cultural understanding, and consistent presence in the chat make me a strong candidate for this role. Below are my answers to your questions:
What is your Stake username?
My Stake username is muhammedyek.
How much time on average do you spend on chat every day?
I’m active in the chat from around 2 PM until 5 AM, so I spend a significant amount of time—over 10 hours daily—engaging with users and being part of the community.
Some of your community managers may have already noticed this in the past few days, as I’ve been consistently active and interacting during these hours.
Can you briefly explain what the job of a moderator is?
A moderator keeps the chat clean, respectful, and fun for everyone. It means helping users, enforcing the rules, handling conflicts calmly, and being someone the community can rely on when things get messy.
Why do you want to become a moderator on this chat?
I really like the vibe of the Stake community, and I’d love to play a bigger role by helping others, supporting the team, and making sure people feel safe and welcome here. Since I understand the Nigerian culture and dialects, I believe I can connect well with the local users too.
Have you ever been warned, muted, or banned?
No, I’ve always followed the rules and tried to set a good example for others.
Have you ever been a moderator on any other platform?
Yes, I’ve been a moderator on Telegram and Discord servers for various communities, some with thousands of active users. My responsibilities included:
Answering user questions quickly and clearly
Monitoring conversations to ensure they stayed respectful and on-topic
Dealing with spam, rule violations, and user disputes
Helping onboard new members and guiding them through the rules
Organizing small community events or giveaways to keep engagement high
These roles helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and communication skills—all of which I believe will translate well into the Stake environment.
Are you prepared to work at nighttime?
Absolutely. I’m flexible with my hours, and I’m ready to help out during the night if that’s when I’m most needed.
If you’d like, I’m open to being given a temporary, limited access moderator role for a few days so that you can assess my abilities and how well I fit the position. I’m confident that I can prove myself and become a valuable member of your moderation team.
Regards,
Muhammedyek
