Okay, Stake. This is my story for the Christmas competition.
Tis the night before Christmas, and something felt odd, The reindeer were giggling, the elves played with cod. Not fish—though that’d stink—but the game, don’t you know, They tripped over presents and shouted “Ho! Ho… uh-oh!” The stockings were hung, but one fell on the cat, Who zoomed down the hallway—imagine that splat! The tree gave a wobble, the ornaments swayed, One bauble cried, “Help!” while the tinsel parade. When out on the roof there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my couch yelling, “What is the matter?!” I peeked through the curtains, then laughed till I cried— Santa was stuck in the chimney sideways. His hat was askew and his boots were on fire (From landing too close to a sparkly green wire). A wand? Yes, a wand! He waved with a grin. “Relax,” Santa said, “Magic always kicks in.” With a POOF and a POP and a glittery sneeze, He shrank past the bricks with surprising ease. The elves parachuted down one by one, Singing off-key, clearly having great fun. They filled up the stockings with gadgets and goo, A singing sock puppet and shampoo that’s blue. Then Santa winked once, gave the cat a high-five, And vanished in sparkles—now that was a drive. So remember this tale when Christmas draws near: If things go quite wrong, don’t panic or fear. With laughter and magic and rhyme just right, Merry Christmas to all—and to all a good night! 🎄✨
