I laughed nervously — probably a prank, maybe AI-generated. I deleted the message. But when I opened my photo gallery a few minutes later, there was a new video file at the top. It was time-stamped 23 seconds ago. I clicked on it. The video showed my living room — from behind me. I could see myself sitting on the couch, holding my phone, just as I was now. And behind me, in the dark reflection of the window, there was a figure. Pale. Still. My heart started pounding. I turned around instantly — nothing there.
