Tis the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The embers were glowing, a soft, warm delight,
Protecting us all from the chill of the night.
I peeked out the window to see the fresh snow,
Reflecting the moon in a magical glow.
Then high on the roof came a clatter and sound,
As Santa and reindeer touched down on the ground.
